Cornerstone shows 46% increase

Cornerstone Imaging (San Jose, Nasdaq: CRNR, http://www.corimage.com[LiveLink]) announces Q1 '97 revenue of $26 million, a 46% increase from the $17.8 million reported in Q1 '96.

Net income of $1.1 million compares with a net loss of $2.5 million in the comparable quarter of 1996. "The 46% year-over-year increase is a result of revenue growth in both our display and software businesses," comments CEO Tom van Overbeek.




Caere shows net loss

Caere (Los Gatos, CA, Nasdaq: CAER, http://www.caere.com[LiveLink]) announces Q1 '97 revenue of $12.6 million, which compares with Q1 '96 results of $13.6. A net loss of $1.9 million includes a one-time charge of $2.9 million related to the acquisition of Formonix. The OCR and forms processing company reported a net income of $1.3 million for Q1 '96.




Cambridge Technology announces earnings

Cambridge Technology Partners (Cambridge, MA, Nasdaq: CATP, http://www.ctp.com[LiveLink]) announces Q1 '97 revenue of $71.1 million, which compares with $47.3 million in Q1 '96 showing a 50% increase. Net income grew 55% to $7.1 million, up from $4.6 million a year ago. The systems integration company saw expansion during the quarter, forming a subsidiary in Toronto, opening offices in Zurich and Manchester and receiving a four-year contract with the Brazilian government.




BancTec shows net income increase

BancTec (Dallas, NYSE: BTC, http://www.banc-tec.com[LiveLink]) reports Q1 '97 revenue of $142.4 million, which compares with $140.1 million in Q1 '96. Net income of $10 million represents an increase of 15.5% from Q1 '96 results of $8.7 million. BancTec recently traded at a 52-week high of 26.13.




Altris reports revenue

Altris Software (San Diego, Nasdaq: ALTS, http://www.altris.com[LiveLink]) reports Q1 '97 revenue of $6.6 million, which compares with $6.1 million in Q1 '96. Net income of $534,000 compares with $677,000 for the same period last year. Software revenues comprised 61% of the total sales for the quarter. Jay Tanna, Altris CEO, comments: "This progressive shift away from hardware and into the software market will continue full-speed during 1997."




Top Image Systems reports revenue

Top Image Systems (TIS, Ramat-Gan, Israel, Nasdaq: TISAF, TISWF) reports Q4 '96 revenue of $550,719 that compares with $561,855 in Q4 '95. A net loss of $283,516 includes one-time expenses of $285,000 and compares with net income in Q4 '95 of $129,393.




F.Y.I. reports increase

F.Y.I. (Dallas, Nasdaq: FYII, http://www.fyii.com[LiveLink]) reports Q4 '96 revenue of $26.8 million, an increase of $14.7 million or 121% from Q4 '95 results. Net income grew $919,000 or 139% to $1.6 million. Results are attributable, in part, to recent acquisitions and internal growth in service revenue.




Meta Group announces results

Meta Group (Stamford, CT, Nasdaq:METG) announces Q4 '96 fiscal results. Revenues of $10.6 million represent a 44% increase from $7.3 million in Q4 '95. Net income of $1.2 million increased from $476,000, a 154% increase. CEO Dale Kutnick notes quarter-over-quarter growth in continuous services of 40% and in consulting revenues to 70% .




TMSSequoia reports Q2 '97 revenue

TMSSequoia (Stillwater, OK, Nasdaq: TMSS, http://www.tmsinc.com[LiveLink]) reports Q2 '97 revenue of $1.468 million that compares with $1.443 million in Q2 '97. Net income of $169,566 is down from $299,272 in the corresponding quarter of 1996; Q2 '96 results included a deferred tax benefit of $187,342. Engineering and document conversion service revenue increased 22%, quarter over quarter, to $550,888.




Procom Technology reports revenue increase

Procom Technology (Irvine, CA, Nasdaq: PRCM) reports Q2 '97 revenue of $26.6 million, a 68% increase from Q2 '96 results of $15.8 million. Net income of $2 million compares with $655,000 in Q2 '96. During the quarter, the storage company released the Hyper CD line of CD-ROM servers and arrays and the ATOM series of hard drive solutions.
